SOCIAL SINGING CHOIR
Starting Tuesday 6th Feb at the Printworks
Our first choir practise will be held in the Union space at Printworks on the Tuesday 6th February at 8pm!! No auditions. No need of previous experience. The whole idea of the S.S.C is to sing some great songs together and have a good time. There have been some amazing song suggestions which I have started to arrange and I can't wait to sing them with the choir! If you have a song you'd love to sing please do send it to: firstname.lastname@example.org The response has been amazing with over 100 people signing up for the mailout. The capacity for the space is roughly 50-60 with room for a piano and serious dance moves. With this in mind we'll be operating on a first come first serve basis.
The year will be split into 4 terms each ending with a concert for a chosen local charity (see more below). Each term will have a loose theme. Loose so we don't limit our song choices too much! There will be membership subs to cover the running costs of the choir £45 for each 10 week term. The first choir session will be open to all but if you would like to guarantee your membership before then just click the link below or send an email to: email@example.com
For people who want to sing good and do other stuff good too... Singing makes us feel good, it's great for our health and it brings people together. But I think it would be really great to use it to engage and help those around us. With that in mind each term of the Social Singing Choir will build towards a concert in aid of a local charity. Starting with Oasis: http://www.oasisdaservice.org/
An amazing charity that does incredible work in Kent to support people who have been affected by domestic abuse
